GRATiAE uses organic ingredients, certified by the leading institutions including the Soil Association (England), Ecocert (France) and Agrior (Israel).
Ecocert (France): Ecocert, is a French organization that certifies organic cosmetics, food and textiles. GRATiAE also has the certification by Ecocert.
Agrior (Israel):  also hold the Agrior organic certification.  Extensive checks and audits are carried out on GRATiAE’s manufacturing and packaging to maintain the highest organic certification standards.

 

The Soil Association, founded in 1946 has the highest and most comprehensive standards for organic production and processing in the world. GRATiAE adheres to the organic principles of agriculture and production to ensure their ingredients are free from artificial chemical fertilizers, pesticides and synthetic preservatives. The Organic farming that is employed by GRATiAE is more than just the exclusion of pesticides. The farmers use practices that respect water resources, soils and living creatures. 

 

Organic, cold pressed oils are substantially more expensive than commercial oils. This is because these oils are produced by heating gently at low temperatures to preserve the valuable elements in the oil and without using any chemical extraction. Commercial oils are processed with excessive heat and chemical extraction that destroy valuable elements in the oil. The term ‘cold pressed oil’ is subject to different regulations. In Europe a product labeled with ‘cold pressed oil’ must be refined oil extracted at low temperatures.  Unfortunately there are no regulations in the U.S. for oil labeling so items stating that they are cold pressed, may not actually be cold pressed oil at all. GRATiAE label of ‘cold pressed oil’ is certified by Europe and Israel.

 

“Responsibly Wild Crafted Herbs” are those picked in a responsible manner, whereby no plant will be over picked and therefore, be a risk to the existence of the species. They are picked in their natural environment at optimal times for harvesting, and have not been exposed to any sprays or fertilizers. Ultimately, no matter the source of our herbs, all are fully tested for microbes, chemicals and residues contaminants that could compromise the quality of the herb.
